This is a self reflection, narrative, healing piece..

3 symbol of Scorpio: Scorpion(the nebula in the bg, un-evolved symbol, trapped), Eagle(spirit, hunter), Phoenix(most evolved symbol, a bird that destroys itself and rise again from the ashes).. base on the sex sign book XD I borrowed..

Thanks :).. one of my classmates(mr. classico/academia painter) dare to say it was flat and that I was using oils wrong.. there is no wrong or right way in art.. I just hate art critics, and those you should comments.. this was mainly painted thinly with medium for most of the part until it get's to the lighter colors.. I took Teresa's comment in mind about the thin paint for the background/nebula/space and leaving some white of the canvas.. altho I think doing some abstract drips will help convey the space :).. I dunno..

The flatness works, actually. I mean, it's hard to say anything about oil paintings on a screen instead of in real life, but the flatness makes the scary background seem like it's looming up into the front.

Also, is it a self-portrait of when you were small?
